This product is not suitable for the iphone
It charges and plays on the fm radio
But it cannot support the iphone from the cigarette lighter
the iphone is too heavy

Bought 2, 1 for myself other as gift.
Works well apart from the transmitter is very bad even though its so close to the aerial.
…all else said this blew the fuse on the lighter in my Audi!
..Apart from that it charges the pod, and holds it, kinda secure, erm…
…but for a tenner, whats to complain about eh? i think the trasmitter problem may be related to some models of cars that use some form of suppressor on the aerial circuit i have seen on VW’s before. So some cars it might be fine for. Although the Mercedes Vito the friend whom i bought the gift for had the same problem.
p.s. the picture is very accurate, the flexible stalk it sits on is very short so lots of lighter locations make this very obstructive.

Having been bought this as a present I was intially delighted. On opening, it did not have any instructions. On contacting the seller after Christmas they could not offer any advice or supply and further information other than to plug it in to the cigarette lighter. I obviously knew how to do this and it did charge my phone but would not play music through the speaker or act as a hands free kit. It seemed to need tuning through the radio but how was the 98 million dollar question!”
After several emails, they did agree to me sending it back for a refund. I would much preferred to be told how it works.

I bought this for my iphone 3G when it first came out – I was pleased with the price and needed something to charge the iphone in the car as my old ipod transmitter wasn’t supported. The sound quality wasn’t as good as my old transmitter, more crackles – on every channel I tried. Not to worry I thought, it doesn’t matter. And I would have put up with it too had it not FALLEN APART after about 6 months use. I am now using my old transmitter for listening to music in the car, despite it not charging the iphone at the same time. Don’t buy this, yes it’s cheap… but it won’t last.

I bought this product for my 06 Audi A4, it does not work properly, if you want to listen to music and drive at the same time this cannot be done safely it gets in the way of the of the gearstick and the handbrake at the same time maybe its just my car but I would not recommend this to someone with the same car.

Works fine hands free etc but seems to interfere with the satelite system for Co-Pilot sat nav.

A compact and easy to operate radio transmitter, however the power socket does not work very well. The weight of the unit with an Iphone connected is too much for the cigarette lighter adaptor and stalk, plus the length of the stalk limits the positioning of the unit. I removed the stalk and replaced it with a length of wire (not too difficult) which made it much easier to to position on a standard bracket and also took the strain off the cigarette lighter. The unit now functions well as a simple RF transmitter and charger for the Iphone 3GS, downside of the unit is that the radio interferes with the correct operation of the Iphone electronic compass and GPS making the use of Sat Nav applications unreliable.

Excitedly bought this just before xmas, wish now I had read the negative comments properly.
The first one stopped working after one week, the replacement they sent (very quickly, in their favour) doesn’t work at all.

I brough this product and it has cause the fuse in my car to blow three times and its not very sturdy, The reception is not brilliant and has a lot interference when playin music through the radio. I suggest spending the more money and gettting something decent..

This is perfect, paired with my iPod Touch. I had no problems with it moving, the rubber grip holds beautifully. It’s so easy to set up and use and the USB port on the side means I can listen to my iPOd and charge my satnav/phone at the same time. There is only one problem, however, in the dark the blue power LED is blinding, I just covered it with black electrical tape and you’d never know.
