I think the other reviews of this item are a little harsh.
Don’t expect it to sound like a Bose or B&W. It’s about a tenth of the price of their iPod speakers and much smaller.
I’d say the sound quality is roughly as good as that of a portable radio of a similar size and price, which seems reasonable enough.
I bought mine mainly for listening to podcasts and internet radio on my iPod Touch.
The main selling points are its size and the fact that it can be powered by batteries or the supplied mains adapter.
For anyone concerned about such things, it does charge my third generation (late 2009 model) iPod Touch but only when running from the mains adapter.
The only obvious annoyance for me is the very bright blue LED on the front when switched on. This is enough to dazzle me when I’m operating the iPod.
Wot, no radio, no alarm clock?

Just bought this which appears to have an FM radio and alarm clock, according to info on Amazon’s page – but in reality it has neither, and the increase volume control button does not work properly.
Be careful you know what you are buying, or be prepared to get less than the web site offers.
Tinny and awful sound

I got this speaker dock to use in my (not very big) kitchen for listening to music and podcasts when cooking. It does look nice, there’s no denying that, but sounds absolutely awful. I’m not the biggest muso on the planet, but I like my music to have some kind of presence at least. However, this speaker dock produces a very tinny sound, and even with my iPod Touch’s equalizer set on Bass Booster, there’s still practically no bass to be heard. Honestly, please, don’t waste your money. Save up a little more cash and get yourself something like a JBL speaker dock.

Good speakers bought as gift for techno-phobe parents who finally bought themselves an iPod. Speakers simple to use and produced decent sound. Excellent for travelling.

terms of looks, i would say that this product is good. For its money, you get a good little speaker system that charges up the ipod touch and other ipods with the standard connection at the bottom. As terms as sound, from which the speakers are primary for, i would not really suggest them for a front room etc. i would say that the sound given is more suitable for a shed or something along those lines.
I would have expected better and at least a little bit of bass from these, but then again i guess it reflects on the price that its being sold for. I would use this as a alarm clock more than a speaker system. which i have done.

Really easy to set up, lightweight and portable.Great to pack into a suitcase or back pack for when your out and about. Looks good,sounds good and the compact size means it’s easy to find a place for it to stand. Only down side, no remote.

Terrible, terrible ” speakers”. Came out the box, got tested, went straight back in the box. Nothing about them what so ever….£8 PC speakers would be better than these. Cant believe they even went into production! If you like to hear your music from your £200 iPod Touch
do not buy these.

I didn’t know there was no reviews fot this product, when i found out i thought i’ll have to do one because sometimes amazons information isn’t enough. So anyway, this when i got it out its box was so beatufil that i nearly dropped dead. The fact that it works with and charges all ipods is very very good. The quality of sound is actually rather good but if you want it banging through your ears, its not the job for it. The reason i gave it 5 stars is because no controller!!!! If this came with a controller i would of gave it 4 stars ahh well. I would reccomend this greatly but if your gonna put batteries in it don’t, just don’t. And if you have done you’ve just wasted money on the batteries, because when you don’t put it in the mains it will not charge your ipod.
